Performing Umrah is a sacred journey, but for many pilgrims, the transition from the airport to the holy cities can be stressful due to new regulations. To ensure your pilgrimage starts smoothly, it is essential to understand two critical terms: NUSUK Masar and Tafweej.
At SaudiaTaxi.com, we are proud to be a fully registered transport provider under the NUSUK Masar system, ensuring your journey is legal, safe, and authorized by the Saudi government.
What is NUSUK Masar and Tafweej?
Since Hajj 2025, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has strictly mandated that all Umrah visa holders must be transported via authorized channels.
1. NUSUK Masar (نسك مسار)
NUSUK Masar is the official digital gateway managed by the Saudi government. It connects pilgrims with licensed service providers, including hotels and transport companies.
-
The Rule: Only vehicles registered on NUSUK Masar are legally allowed to pick up Umrah visa passengers from Jeddah (JED) airports and Madinah (MED) airport.
-
The Benefit: It prevents “fake agents” and unregistered “freelance” taxis from overcharging or scamming pilgrims.
2. Tafweej (The Permit) – ﻛﺸﻒ ﺍﻟﺘﻔﻮﻳﺞ
Tafweej refers to the official “permit”. It is a legal document that links a specific pilgrim (or group) to a specific registered vehicle and driver.
-
Without a Tafweej Paper, the transport company is not authorized to pick you up, even if you have booked and paid for the ride.
Why is Tafweej (ﻛﺸﻒ ﺍﻟﺘﻔﻮﻳﺞ) Required?
The Saudi government uses the Tafweej system to monitor the flow of pilgrims and ensure their safety.
-
Naqaba (GSC – GENERAL SYNDICATE OF CARS – النقابة العامة للسيارات): These are Saudi government officials stationed at the airport. Their job is to check umrah visa passengers Tafweej paper.
-
-
Mandatory Government Buses: If no valid Tafweej is presented, Naqa gov officials will direct you to their shared government buses. You will be forced to travel with a large group, and the agency that issued your Umrah visa will face heavy fines.
The Airport Pickup Process (Step-by-Step)

Important Summary for Pilgrims
Warning: Do not be misguided by unauthorized agents. If you book a taxi that is not registered with NUSUK Masar, or if you fail to get your Tafweej paper from your visa agent, you will not be allowed to leave the airport in a private car. You will be redirected to government-mandated transport, and your original booking may be wasted.
